Както вече стана ясно, компанията Leica Camera AG стана партньор на японската компания Panasonic в производството на цифрови фотоапарати. Резултат на това сътрудничество е появата на новите цифрови фотоапарати и видеокамери на Panasonic с обектив Leica.
Leica на свой ред има възможност да пуска на пазара под своята търговска марка практически всички модели на японския производител.
